The Department of Defense honored 17 awardees, comprising a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms that provide essential technology to the Warfighter and exhibited excellence in the Department of Defense (DoD) contracting and subcontracting; defense prime contractors significantly exceeded three percent (3%) of their SDVOSBs the subcontract awards, and DoD acquisition professionals Advanced directives of the President Executive Order 13360 to significantly increase the contracts and subcontracts for SDVOSBs. The noble Gordon England, Deputy Secretary of Defense delivered the keynote address and helped the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Technology, The Reverend James I. Finley, and the Director for the DoD Office of Small Business Programs, Mr. Anthony Martoccia, show each awardee in the 2008 award SDVOSB on Monday, November 17th during the 2008 awards ceremony SDVOSB the Pentagon Library and Conference Center, located in the Pentagon. The awards will be presented in the following categories and awarded the company or individuals listed below in every category.
