Hotel Accomodations:

SPECIAL ROOM RATES

We have arranged a block of rooms at the Federal lodging rate of $138 per night, single or double occupancy, for registered participants. Tax on the lodging rate is currently 12.5%. This reduced conference rate is only for participants who register for the Mentor-Protégé Conference. All room reservations will require a one night's room deposit via credit card, check, or money order.

Please be sure to make your hotel reservations before the February 15, 2008 deadline, as space is on a first-come, first-served basis and will be released after that cutoff date.

EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY

The hotel does not require an early departure fee. However, please be sure to confirm your departure date upon checking in at the hotel’s reservation desk.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note, if you need to cancel your room reservations, you must contact the hotel directly. In order to receive a full refund, you must cancel your reservation 72 hours prior to arrival and obtain a cancellation number. Otherwise, you will be billed for the first night's deposit.

Reservations can be made directly with the hotel by calling the toll free reservations hotline at (866) 536-8477. When making your reservation, you must identify yourself as part of the "DoD Mentor-Protégé Conference" to obtain the group rate.

While all reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate guests arriving prior to 4:00 pm, there is no guarantee of early check-in.

TAX EXEMPTION ON HOTEL LODGING CHARGES

The State of Florida provides exemption from payment of state sales taxes on hotel lodging charges for government employees traveling on official business when charges are directly reimbursable by the government. If you are an employee of the government of the United States, you will need to bring with you a completed Certificate of Governmental Exemption from the Payment of Hotel Lodging Taxes. This form is usable only in documenting eligibility for exemption from the payment of state sales tax on charges for room occupancy. The state sales tax must be paid on other taxable purchases from the hotel, including meals, laundry, dry cleaning, and vehicle parking. When this form bears the signature of only the employee, the form must be accompanied by a copy of the employee’s written travel orders, in which the government employer directs a stay at the specific hotel accepting the form, or alternatively, at any hotel within a narrowly defined geographic area. The hotel must retain this certificate and a photocopy of the travel orders to document the exemption. To download this form, click here.

High-speed Internet access is available for $9.95, plus applicable tax, in all guest rooms.

PARKING

Self-parking is available for $8.00 per day. Valet parking is available for $14.00 per day.

• Please stay in well-lit and well-traveled areas (Preferably with a companion). Neither the Department of Defense, nor the hotel assumes any liability for loss or injury to its guests while they are away from the hotel.
• This hotel complies with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 (PL101-391) and is protected by a fire sprinkler system.

Take Catalina Drive Southeast towards US-92 (Daytona Beach / Deland / Beaches). Turn right onto Midway Avenue and follow to US-92 (West International Speedway Boulevard). Follow US-92 (West International Speedway Boulevard) to a left turn onto FL-A1A North (South Atlantic Avenue. Follow to 100 North Atlantic Avenue. The Hilton Daytona Beach will be on the right side. The approximate trip time is 15 minutes.
